見慣れない番号（+1（844）248-8392）から携帯電話に電話がありました。

当然無視していた訳ですが、留守番電話にメッセージが残されていたので、聞いてみることにしました。

すると総務省を名乗る録音メッセージで以下の趣旨のこと伝えてきました。

「2時間後にこの電話が使えなくなる。オペレーターと話す方は1番を押すように」
とのことでした。

このメッセージを聞いただけでびっくりしてしまいますが、そこは落ち着いて対処しましょう。

私も一瞬ひるみましたが、直ぐにネットで調べてみました。

すると「総務省」と打ち込んだだけで、「総務省 電話が使えなくなる」が候補で出てきました。

そして「国民生活センター」のHPに不審電話であることが書かれていました。

やっぱりそうなんだなと思い、直ぐに妻と情報を共有しました。

＜不審電話での注意点＞
1）知らない番号からの電話や非通知からの電話には出ない。
2）折り返し電話を掛けない。
3）メッセージの指示に従ってダイヤルプッシュをしない。

また、不安に思った場合や、個人情報を伝えてしまった場合は、下記に相談して下さい。

＊消費者ホットライン「188（いやや！）」番
最寄りの市町村や都道府県の消費生活センター等をご案内する全国共通の3桁の電話番号です。

＊警察相談専用電話「＃9110」
発信地を管轄する警察本部等の総合窓口につながる全国共通の電話番号です。

私は不審電話などを受けないように、家にある固定電話を止めましたが、今は携帯電話にもたくさんの不審電話が掛かってきます。

何があってもおかしくない時代なので、不審電話には出ない！無視して切る！が一番良い方法だと思います。

因みには私は2週間ほど前に警視庁捜査二課を名乗るたけもという人から電話を受けました。

非通知の電話でしたが受けてみたところ「○○さんの携帯電話ですか？」と最初に自分の名前を言われたのでひるんでしまいました。

しかし、のらりくらりと返事をしていたら、向こうから電話を切りました。

そして同じようにネットで調べてみると、やはりこのタイプの不審電話が蔓延しているようです。

本当に困ったものですが、身内や知り合いが非通知で電話を掛けてくる可能性は極めて低いので、非通知の電話には出ない！が一番良い方法だと思います。

I received a call on my cell phone from an unfamiliar number: +1 (844) 248-8392.

Naturally I ignored it, but there was a message left on my answering machine so I decided to listen.

Then I received a recorded message claiming to be from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, which said the following.

“This phone will be out of service in two hours. To speak to an operator, please press 1.”

It may be a bit shocking to hear this message, but try to stay calm and deal with it.

When I typed in “Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications,” the suggestion “Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications telephones will become unusable” came up.

The National Consumer Affairs Center of Japan’s website stated that this message was a suspicious call.

I thought that was probably the case, so I immediately shared the information with my wife.

＜Points to note regarding suspicious phone calls＞
1) Do not answer calls from unknown numbers or calls from withheld numbers.
2) Do not call back.
3) Do not dial the number as instructed in the message.

This is a nationwide three-digit phone number that will direct you to the nearest city, town, village, or prefecture consumer affairs center.

*Police consultation hotline “＃9110”
This is a nationwide phone number that connects you to the general office of the police headquarters that has jurisdiction over the area where the call was made.

I disconnected my landline at home to avoid receiving suspicious calls, but now I still get a lot of them on my cell phone as well.

In this day and age where anything can happen, I think the best thing to do is to not answer suspicious phone calls, just ignore them and hang up.

Incidentally, about two weeks ago I received a phone call from someone named Takemoto, who claimed to be from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department’s Second Investigative Division.

It was an withheld call, but when I answered it, I was taken aback when the first thing they asked was my name, “Is this Mr. XX’s cell phone?”

However, after I gave a vague reply, the other person hung up the phone.

When I looked into it online, I found that this type of suspicious call was indeed widespread.

It’s a real nuisance, but the chances that a family member or acquaintance would call you with blocked numbers are extremely low, so I think the best thing to do is to not answer anonymous call !
