セブンイレブン「焼きカレーパン2001年」美味しかった！　Seven-Eleven’s “Baked Curry Bread 2001” was delicious!

近所のセブンイレブンで買い物をしていたら、「焼きカレーパン2001年」が目に留まりました。

復刻ト銘打っていたので2001年に売っていたのだろうなと容易に想像できますが、その当時セブンイレブン見た記憶はありませんでした。

ぱっと見ケーキのような形をしていて美味しそうなので早速買うことにしました。

味の感想は一般的なカレーパンは揚げパンなのに対して焼きパンなのでさっぱりしています。

触感はもちもちしており柔らかかったです。

またカレーの味はスパイシーではなく昭和の日本人が好んだ辛くないカレーでとても美味しかったです。

「もちもちの触感の柔らか和風カレーパン」と言ったところで、我々も高齢者にはお勧めです。

最近のカレーやカレーパンはやたらとスパイシー味が多いと感じていたので、この「もちもちの触感の柔らか和風カレーパン」はまた買いたくなる商品でした。

さすがセブンイレブンですね。

その戦略にドはまりしてしまいました。

あとでネットで「焼きカレーパン2001年」について調べたところ、この商品は7/9からかつて人気となった商品を再び販売する「復刻レトロシリーズ」の第2弾として発売されたそうです。

写真の少し焦げている部分は、こんがりと焼かれたパルメザンチーズがトッピングされているそうです。

カレーについては「カレーにはコショウのようなものが入っていて、スパイシーな味わい。」と書いてありましたが、今のカレーはこれよりはるかにスパイシーなので前記の通りです。

いつまで「焼きカレーパン2001年」が売っているか分かりませんが、次回は5～6個買って冷凍保存したいなと思います。

While I was shopping at the local 7-Eleven, my eye fell on the “Baked Curry Bread 2001.”

Since it was labeled as a reprint, it’s easy to imagine that it was sold in 2001, but I don’t remember seeing it at 7-Eleven at the time.

At first glance it looked like a cake and it looked delicious so I decided to buy one right away.

In terms of taste, curry bread is typically fried, whereas this is baked bread, so it has a lighter taste.

It has a chewy texture and a soft bite.

The curry was not spicy, but rather a mild curry that was popular among Japanese people in the Showa era, and was very delicious.

It is a “soft, chewy Japanese-style curry bread,” and we would recommend it to seniors as well.

I’ve felt that a lot of curries and curry breads these days are overly spicy, so this “Soft and Chewy Japanese-Style Curry Bread” is a product I’d like to buy again.

As expected from Seven-Eleven.

I was totally hooked on that strategy.

When I later looked up “Baked Curry Bread 2001” on the Internet, I found out that this product was released on July 9th as the second in the “Retro Reproduction Series,” a re-release of popular products from the past.

The slightly burnt parts in the photo are apparently topped with grilled Parmesan cheese.
Regarding the curry, it said, “The curry contains something like pepper and has a spicy taste.”

However, curry these days is much spicier than this, so as I mentioned earlier, I didn’t find it spicy.

I don’t know how long the “Baked Curry Bread 2001” will be on sale for, but next time I’d like to buy 5 or 6 and freeze them.
