もーちゃんの脱走　Mo-chan’s escape

椛が娘の部屋の窓から網戸をあっけて脱走しました。

網戸はおっかえ棒で開けられないようにしてありましたが、何かの拍子でそのおっかえ棒が外れてしまっていたようです。

猫たちの朝食は朝6時ですがその時から姿を現さしませんでした。

てっきりどこかで寝ていると思っていましたが、15時を過ぎても椛の姿が確認できませんでした。

さすがに変だなと思い探し始めたら、娘の部屋の網戸が空いており、そこから出て行ったのだと確信しました。

我が家はマンションの5階にあり、パニックを起こして転落したら大変なので慌てて外を探しに行きました。

何回か名前を呼んでも返事がないので、管理事務室に電話しようとしたところ、娘の呼び声に椛が反応しました。

椛は2軒隣のエアコンの室外機の裏側でじっとしていました。

椛は外に出たは良いものの直ぐに怖くなってそこに隠れたようです。

椛は10時間前後そこで耐えていたようです。

椛は怖い思いをしたようで、かわいそうなことをしてしまいました。

日頃から猫が出ないように窓や網戸をおっかえ棒で固定して注意を払っていましたが、おっかえ棒が外れてしまいました。

今回は椛が無事戻ってきてラッキーでしたが、今後は不幸な事故が起きないように細心の注意を払いたいと思いました。

Momiji escaped through the screen door of my daughter’s room.

The screen door was designed to be unable to be opened with a blocking bar, but it seems that the blocking bar had come off for some reason.

The cats have breakfast at 6am, but Momiji never showed up.

I was sure Momiji was sleeping somewhere, but it was past 3 p.m. and I still couldn’t find her anywhere.

I thought this was strange and started looking, and found that the screen door to my daughter’s room was open, so I was sure that’s where Momiji had left from.

Our house is on the fifth floor of an apartment building, so we hurried outside to look for Momiji because we didn’t want her to panic and fall.

After calling her name several times but getting no response, they tried to call the management office, when Momiji answered my daughter’s call.

Momiji was staying still behind the air conditioner unit two houses away.

Momiji went outside but soon got scared and hid there.

Momiji seems to have endured there for about 10 hours.

Momiji seemed to have had a scary experience, and I felt bad for her.

We were always careful to secure windows and screens with blocking bars to stop the cat from escaping, but the blocking bars came off.

We were lucky that Momiji returned safely this time, but we will be extra careful in the future to avoid any unfortunate accidents happening.
