花は最近甘えてくるようになりました。　Hana has become a bit more clingy lately.

花は2016/9/21に自宅マンションの駐車場で保護しました。

その当時推定年齢2～3歳とのことなので、誕生日を2014/3/3日だとすると今年（2024年）で10歳くらいだと思われます。

行きつけの都賀駅前にある動物病院で診察してもらった結果、避妊手術の後が有り、爪もきれいに切っていた痕が有ったので、野良猫ではなく誰かに飼われていたのだと確信しました。

そこで近所のスーパーや動物病院に「迷い猫」の張り紙をすれば、直ぐに飼い主が現れると思っていました。

しかし花の飼い主は見つからず、今に至っています。

多分花は飼い主に捨てられて人間不信に陥っていたのだと思います。

元の飼い主にどんな事情があるかは分かりませんが、花は辛い思いをしたようです。

そのことが原因かは分かりませんが、花はなかなかなつくことがなく他の猫とも孤立していました。

しかし、極稀に花は私の膝の上に乗ってくることが過去にありました。

そんな花ですが最近は毎日のように私の膝の上に乗ってくるようになったので、良かったなと喜んでいます。

家に住むようになってから約8年、花もようやく安心して私たち家族に甘えることができるようになったようです。

ようやくと言う気もしますが、そこは花の臆病な性格が災いしているので仕方ないことなのかなと思います。

Hana was rescued in the parking lot of her apartment building on September 21st, 2016.

At the time, she was estimated to be around 2 to 3 years old, so if her birthday was March 3, 2014, she would be around 10 years old this year (2024).

After taking her to the veterinary clinic in front of Tsuga Station that I always use, I noticed signs of her having been spayed or neutered and her nails had been neatly clipped, so I was convinced that she was not a stray cat but had been kept by someone.

So I thought that if I put up a “lost cat” sign at a nearby supermarket or veterinary clinic, the owner would show up right away.

However, Hana’s owner has not been found, and that is still the case today.

I think Hana had probably been abandoned by her owner and had become distrustful of people.

I don’t know what the circumstances were with her previous owner, but Hana seems to have had a hard time.

I don’t know if that was the reason, but Hana dosen’t really warmed to me and she became isolated from the other cats.

However, in the past, on very rare occasions, Hana would end up sitting on my lap.

Despite this, Hana has recently started to sit on my lap almost every day, which makes me feel good and happy.

Now about eight years after she moved into our home, Hana finally seems to have grown comfortable and able to rely on our family.

It feels like it’s finally happening, but I guess it can’t be helped since Hana’s timid nature is to blame.
