秋と麦と椛は2017年10月2日に我が家の家族になりました。
その当時母猫の秋は推定２歳で、麦（♂）と椛（♀）は生後推定2～3カ月でした。
なので、秋の誕生日は2015年10月6日、麦と椛の誕生日は2017年7月7日にしました。
実は海ちゃんも2013年7月7日で同じ誕生日です。
保護した当初は、母猫の秋が、麦と椛を引き連れていて、緊張している秋と、のほほんとついて行く麦と椛のコントラストが実にユニークでした。
この写真は、家に来た直後に、パイプ棚の下に隠れて様子を窺っている秋と、その後ろで仕方なしに一緒に隠れている麦と椛の様子を捉えたお気に入りの１枚です。
安全が確認できるまでは隠れて様子を見ている母猫と、本当は外に出て遊んだりご飯を食べてりしたいのに、母猫（秋）に止めれれて仕方なく隠れている仔猫（麦と椛）の表情を良く捉えていると思います。妻が撮影しました。
家に来た当初の麦と椛は、秋の母乳をたまに飲んでいたのですが、ある時期から秋が急に拒絶するようになり、秋が乳離れを促しているのだなと分かりました。
秋も体が大きくはないので、最後の頃は、麦と椛と体長にほとんど差がなく、アンバランスな感じさえしていたのですが、親が拒否するまでは、母乳を飲みたがるものなのだなと感じました。

Actually, Umi-chan has the same birthday on July 7, 2013.
At the time of protection, the mother cat’s Aki was accompanied by Mugi and Momiji, and the contrast between the tense Aki and the barely following Mugi and Momiji was truly unique.
Immediately after the Aki family came to my house, this photo shows Aki hiding under the pipe shelf and looking around the situation, and Mugi and Momiji hiding together behind them.
Aki, the mother cat, is hiding and watching until her safety is confirmed.
The kittens Mugi and Momiji who really want to go out and play and eat rice.
I think it captures the expressions of kittens Mugi and Momiji who are hiding because they are stopped by their mother cat Aki.
This photo was taken by my wife. It is one of my favorite.
When Mugi and Momiji first came home, they occasionally drank Aki’s breast milk.
But at some point Aki suddenly refused.
I understand that Aki is promoting weaning.
Aki’s body is not so big, so it was almost the same size as Mugi’s and Momiji’s.
I even felt unbalanced in body size, but until Aki refused, Mugi and Momiji seemed to want to breastfeed.
