麦（右）の顔の模様　Mugi’s(right) face pattern

麦の顔を最初に見た時顔に傷があるような模様だったので私は少しびっくりしました。

ひと昔前の日本では顔に傷があるのはヤクザのしるしで、漫画などに出てくるヤクザの顔にはたいてい傷が有りました。

今は慣れたのでそんなこと殆ど感じることは有りません。

顔が少し怖そうなことと雄猫であることから、当初麦が凶暴な猫になるのではないかと心配しました。

しかし実際は甘えん坊で温厚な猫なので、その心配は思い過ごしにすぎませんでした。

When I first saw Mugi’s face, it looked like it had scratches on her face, so I was a little surprised.

In Japan a long time ago, it was a sign of a yakuza that had a scar on his face, and most of the yakuza’s faces that appeared in comics had scratches.

Now that I’m used to it, I hardly feel that.

I was worried that Mugi might become a ferocious cat because Mugi’s face looks a little scary and he is a male cat.

However, since the actual Mugi is a sweet-hearted and gentle cat, my worries were nothing more than an oversight.
