猫の室温について　About the room temperature of cats

毎日暑い日が続きますね。

私たちが住んでいる千葉は海の近くと言うこともあって、暑さの厳しい地域ではありません。

また、マンションの5階に部屋が有るので、窓を開けていると心地良い風が入ります。

それでも7～8月のお盆の時期は室温が昼間は常時31℃くらいになります。

そんな中家の猫たちはよっぽど暑い日以外は冷房をかけることなく過ごしてきました。

しかし近年の地球温暖化が原因なのか、自分が年取ったので暑さに弱くなったのか分かりませんが、この熱さ身に染みるようになりました。

そして我が家の猫も平均年齢が8歳でだんだん年を取ってきたので、暑い日に昼寝をしているところを見ると心配になります。

とりわけさくらは18歳で食も細くなってきたので心配です。

It’s hot every day.

Chiba, where we live, is near the sea, so it’s not a hot area.

Also, I have a room on the 5th floor of the apartment, so when I open the window, a pleasant breeze comes in.

Even so, during the Obon season from July to August, the room temperature is always around 31°C during the daytime.

Meanwhile, the cats in the house have spent their time without air conditioning except on very hot days.

However, I don’t know if it’s because of global warming in recent years, or because I’m getting older, so I’ve become more sensitive to heat, but I’ve come to feel the heat very harshly.

And my cats are getting older, with an average age of 8, so I get worried when I see them taking a nap on a hot day.

In particular, Sakura is 18 years old and her diet is getting thinner, so I’m worried.
