今の海ちゃんです。少しわがままですが、可愛いんです。 This is Umi-chan now. A little selfish, but cute.

初めて会った時の海ちゃんは少し衰弱していてとても心配でした。

なので甘やかして育ててしまいました。

また房総の荒波で育ったせいか少し気が荒いのかも知れません。

房総の荒波育ちは冗談ですが、和田浦の消波ブロックの中に放置されていたのは事実です。

満潮になればいる場所がない消波ブロックの中で、海ちゃん夏の暑い日差しをしのいでいました。

そして9年前に偶然そこに来た私の足音を聞いて、海ちゃんは消波ブロックの中から出てきました。

その偶然の出会いにとても感謝しています。

どもだからと言って甘やかして育ててしまった理由にはならないですね。（笑）

When I first met Umi-chan, she was a little weak and I was very worried.

So she was spoiled and brought up.

Also, Umi-chan may be a little rough because she grew up in the rough seas of Boso.

It’s a joke that she grew up in rough waves in Boso, but it’s true that Umi-chan was abandoned in the wave-dissipating block of Wadaura.

Umi-chan was sheltering from the hot summer sun in the wave-dissipating block where there was no place to stay at high tide.

And Umi-chan came out of the wave-dissipating block when she heard my footsteps when I came there by chance nine years ago.

I am very grateful for that chance encounter.

That’s not the reason why I spoiled Umi-chan. (smile)
